Campaign parameters identify where you clicked. Removing them makes links shorter, stable and kinder to analytics.

A URL like article?utm_source=newsletter&utm_medium=email tells the publisher how you arrived. That is useful for their marketing dashboard, but when you re-share the link the parameters leak your click history to the next site and make the address longer for no benefit.

Removing them safely

Only strip parameters you understand. The Link Cleaner removes a fixed list of campaign parameters and tracking fragments, upgrades the scheme to https, and shows you exactly what it changed before you copy anything.

When not to strip

Some parameters are functional: a search term, a pagination page or a variant id must stay. A good cleaner removes attribution only, which is why the list is explicit rather than a wildcard.
