Field notes to organize your day
I have tried organizing my days with many planners and calendars. I used digital planners, but digital planners make me feel exhausted. Field notebooks were the ones that stuck with me. These notebooks are slim and small enough to fit in your pockets. In this blog post, I’ll show you how to design and organize a field notebook.
You can buy these field books from Amazon, Target, or any stationary store. I bought mine from Amazon. You can see the following image to view the inside of one of these field books.
Skip the first page and save that page for cool stickers or drawings. On the following two pages, evenly divide the pages into 4 rows. You can also draw a bold line after every 7th line. Now, you will have two pages with a total of 8 rows. This is how you equally separate your rows. Label each row with the date and day. Leave the last row on the second page for “notes”. I usually leave the notes row for miscellaneous thoughts or just notes.
For each day, I write my tasks and cross out each at the end of the day. I usually transfer my daily to-dos from the field book onto Post-its too.
I find that handwritten planners help me stay organized throughout the week. I remember dates better. I feel in control. Plus, I can make my daily planner as colorful and adorable as possible. What do you use to stay organized throughout the week?
